After buying a new house, you might feel a headache when think of decorating your house. It is best to start with a room first, so that you can feel less stressed. You may make a plan for each room, then you can decorate each room one by one.
1) Write down a plan for each room. Decide how you want them to look like. You may refer some home design books and magazines and think of the colours, fabrics, furniture, etc.
2) Prioritize your rooms. There are some rooms you might want to finish the decoration first, so that you can move in as soon as possible. For example, kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom could be your first priority.
3) Are you moving your old furniture to your new home? Consider what your necessities. List the old items which you want to keep, and then list the new items which you want to purchase.
4) First, paint your walls or put wallpapers on it.
5) Bring your furniture in especially the largest the first, because they are the focal pieces in the rooms. After you have positioned them, bring in the smaller furniture, such as chairs and coffee tables.
6) Decorate the room with curtains, pictures and any other accessory.
